• Leslie Waddell

As a musician with over 40 years teaching and performing experience, I understand the value of using our innate love of music, movement, rhythm, patterning and literacy to support not only physical development, sensory processing, language, and cognition, but to also strengthen the bonds within a family and foster empathy, compassion, and self-esteem.

I began my career as a professional flutist after receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance at New England Conservatory, but my interest and passion quickly turned to exploring how children learn and develop in all areas of their lives. Since becoming a licensed Kindermusik Educator in 1999 I have facilitated developmental classes for over 1,000 students and their families as the owner of Music for Little Hands and Kindermusik with Leslie.

I am currently on the faculty of the Suzuki Schools of Westport and Orange as a flute and theory instructor and hold the position of second flutist with the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra.
